🏌️‍♂️A Unique Mentorship Experience Through Golf Carter’s Spectrum Golf, founded by 14-year-old golf prodigy and autism advocate Carter Bonas, combines golf instruction with structured mentorship to empower youth. Our program uses the game of golf as a vehicle to foster resilience, confidence, academic stability, and emotional well-being.

🎯 Mission: To foster self-confidence, leadership skills, and academic success among youth by combining golf, life skills training, and trauma-informed mentorship.

💡 What Makes Us Different?

Mental Health Integration: Led by Dr. Thelma Tennie, LMFT, we incorporate therapeutic support and counseling referrals.
Peer and Family Engagement: Weekly Family Golf Days, youth-led leadership councils, and advisory boards ensure community voice and connection.
Holistic Life Skills Curriculum: Incorporates Evidenced Based Life skills model and evidence-based stress management techniques.

👥 Who We Serve: We mentor youth ages 6–21 from:

Single-parent households
Rural and suburban communities
Backgrounds with high risk of academic challenges, bullying, trauma, or juvenile justice involvement

Weekly 90-Min Sessions blending golf with social-emotional learning
Monthly Family Golf Days + Quarterly Workshops: Coping with deployment, relocation, reintegration
Youth Leadership Council: Giving participants a voice and leadership role
Community Service Projects that build purpose and peer connection

Insurance & Liability Acknowledgment
I understand that my signed Waiver and Release of Liability form is a required component of my registration for the Carter’s Spectrum Golf Mentoring Program. I further acknowledge that any medical expenses incurred during participation in the program are my sole responsibility and that primary insurance coverage for my child is provided through my individual or family health insurance plan.

Media Release & Program Participation Acknowledgment
I give permission for Carter’s Spectrum Golf to use photographs or video footage of my child in promotional materials, including social media, print, and digital platforms. I understand that participation in the program is offered at no cost. I also acknowledge that Carter’s Spectrum Golf reserves the right to dismiss participants for inappropriate behavior or repeated acts of unkindness, in order to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all youth.

Parental Consent, Waiver & Release of Liability
I give permission for the minor named above to participate in the Carter's Spectrum Golf Mentoring Program. I certify that my child is six (6) years of age or older, in good health, and capable of participating in all activities associated with the Junior Golf Mentoring Program.
In consideration of said minor being permitted to participate in the Carter's Spectrum Golf Mentoring Program and access associated facilities, I, on behalf of myself and as the minor’s parent or legal guardian, agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk and Release:
I understand that participation in the Junior Golf Mentoring Program may involve risks including, but not limited to, serious bodily injury or death. With these risks in mind, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby fully and forever release, waive, and discharge Carter’s Spectrum Golf, the Country Club of Coral Springs, and all affiliated individuals and entities (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, or losses arising from or related to my child’s participation in the program.
Indemnification:
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to my child’s participation in the program, including those arising from the negligence of the Released Parties.
Responsibility for Risk:
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage arising from my child’s participation, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
Conduct & Dismissal Policy:
I understand that Carter's Spectrum Golf has the right to enforce rules of conduct and to dismiss my child from the program if their behavior is deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or incompatible with the values and environment of the program. Golf etiquette and respectful conduct are expected at all times.
Medical Authorization:
I authorize Carter’s Spectrum Golf staff to take whatever actions they deem necessary for the safety and well-being of my child, including seeking emergency medical care. I acknowledge that I am responsible for all costs associated with such care and that Carter’s Spectrum Golf is not liable for any resulting expenses or outcomes.
Data Collection Acknowledgment:
I understand that data collection is a required component of participation in the Carter’s Spectrum Golf Mentoring Program. I acknowledge that I and/or my child may be asked to complete surveys, provide feedback, or participate in focus groups or interviews. This is part of program evaluation and improvement efforts, conducted in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), to enhance outcomes and support program development.
